FDLE Commissioner Resigns

Updated: Tue 1:10 PM, Jun 10, 2003

Tim Moore is stepping down as Commissioner of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

In a letter to Jeb Bush Tuesday, Moore says that he has had the pleasure of serving the public in the state of Florida for the past 30 years, the last 15 as Commissioner of FDLE.

He says he'll retire July 31, and gives no reason in his letter to Gov. Bush. Moore began his career with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 1973 and has since served in a variety of technical, professional and management positions.
