In the tropics, Ernesto has weakened to a tropical storm because of its interaction with the mountains of Haiti.
Ernesto could regain hurricane strength by late Monday night or early Tuesday.
If Ernesto does not spend too much time over Cuba, it could strengthen quickly again in the Gulf of Mexico.
