With the Florida primary elections just around the corner a new poll is shedding light on how voters plan to vote in the race for governor.
Florida Attorney General Charlie Christ leads Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher 57 to 32 percent among likely Republican voters.
In the Democratic contest, state Sen. Rod Smith has narrowed the gap against U.S. Rep. Jim Davis.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows Davis’ lead over Smith has shrunk dramatically as the campaign enters the home stretch. Davis, who led Smith among likely Democratic primary voters 47 to 19 percent July 26, now leads 43 to 32 percent.
