A top five list of unsolved robberies in Leon County ranges from the kidnapping of an elderly woman to a gunpoint bank heist.
Robbery task force investigators say these are violent robberies and they're convinced they can be solved, but leads are few and the cases are cold.
Among them are the holdup of Wachovia Bank on Mahan Drive this June, the robbery of FAMU's Credit Union last November and a heist at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in May of 2005 in which the robber threatened to shoot everyone in the bank.
"These are five cases that have plagued me over the last year and a half, and they were also chosen for their solvability factor," said Robbery Task Force DET Lee Fuller,
"so we're asking if the public, if anyone has any information whatsoever, to please give us a call."
Two other especially brutal robberies remain unsolved. A man using a pay phone on Stuckey Street was shot when he tried to run away from a pair of robbers, and a 90-year-old woman was kidnapped and robbed off Fairbanks Ferry Road in April 2005.
