Wakulla County sheriff's deputies and Florida Highway Patrol responded to a four vehicle accident on Highway 98 around noon Sunday.
Witnesses say a vehicle hit one motorcycle, causing a domino effect and throwing three riders off their bikes.
Officers say they hope this tragedy will make people realize the severity of a motorcycle crash.
"You have to be extra careful, you can be driving right and it’s one of them things. You are smaller too; it's a lot harder to see," said DEP Honeybone.
A local gas station employee says they see a lot of accidents in the area, and it's very dangerous. The accident is under investigation.
One of the motorcyclists has already been pronounced dead. Staff at Tallahassee Memorial say two of the other victims are in stable condition. The third is in serious condition.
