Ten soldiers with Tallahassee's 379th MP Detachment are back home Wednesday after four months in Iraq.
There were thousands of tearful good-byes when families had to watch their loved ones leave to support Operation Enduring Freedom. Now there are more tears, as some of those same families are re-united.
Loved ones waited with smiles, despite the heat, for their soldiers to come home. Children have been waiting patiently for their parent to return.
For the last four months the 379th Military Police Detachment, an army reserve unit, has been serving our country overseas in Iraq. Their assignment in Operation Enduring Freedom was to provide administrative support for detainee processing, but now, that's all over.
The men and women say they've been dreaming about this day. Since the start of operation enduring freedom, hundreds of reservists from the area have been called up to serve our nation.
They said it was hot, it's an experience they'll never forget and the experience has made them appreciate America even more.
