A local trash collector is charged with five counts of identity theft.
Tallahassee police say 36-year-old Reginald Barkely of Gadsden County, was allegedly going through folks' garbage in the Tallahassee area, gathering their credit card receipts and using the card numbers to make fraudulent purchases.
Sixteen victims have been reported so far, and there could be at least 10 more. One woman reported that her credit card had been used fraudulently on six occasions, totaling almost $450.
Fortunately all of the victims have been reimbursed.
