Tallahassee Memorial Hospital is cutting close to two hundred jobs.
Senior vice president of marketing of planning, Ron Brafford, says the goal of the 191 job cuts is to better match staffing to patient volume.
He says the reduction is necessary for the hospital to stay fiscally healthy, TMH implemented cost reductions this past year, but those measures were not enough.
TMH officials promise quality patient care will be maintained. The cuts will be across the board, and THM will implement a variety of programs to help those laid off find other employment.
