Members of area law enforcement have a new weapon in fighting terror.
Officials with the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy unveiled the new tactical entry house.
The new facility is made up of four separate apartments. Each one is two story and has a different layout. Members of the Leon County SWAT Team say the new building will help them recreate the stress they usually face when entering unknown territory.
"It's difficult, and you try to get as much intelligence as possible. But no matter how much information you get, you will always run into something you didn't expect, so we are really training to expect the unexpected," said Grady Jordan, a member of the Leon County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team.
In two weeks a homeland security course will be conducted at the new facility, complete with chemical explosives.
