All of the roads in this area are still passable, but emergency management officials are keeping a close watch on a few of them.

Some residents are taking advantage of the free sandbags, and emergency officials say they'll be watching the weather. So should you.

“So we'll just be monitoring this situation very closely and we want residents to pay close attention and not be caught by surprise,” says Richard Smith of Leon County Emergency Management.

Meanwhile, the county's next storm water buyout is a hot topic among residents out here.

Some 47 homeowners have applied for the next buyout, but with only $800,000 in funding, only six or seven people will see their homes purchased.
