Authorities say arsonists are responsible for the damage at a historic Valdosta home that went up in flames on Friday night.
Three juveniles are suspected of starting the fire that burned a home built in 1921. Fire fighters were able to save the outside, but there is heavy damage inside. The home's owner believes the fire was not an accident, but a well thought out attack.
Homeowner, Madeline Condrey, said, “I had nothing in this home in terms of matches or cigarette lighters, or nothing for children to use to do anything damaging with fire in this house."
No one was hurt in the blaze because the homeowners were still restoring the home to its original condition. The owners say they will seek financial restitution from the parents of the children accused of starting the fire.
