A man wanted for a pair of bank robberies in Tallahassee is arrested in Atlanta after deputies say he robbed another bank there. Deputies released a surveillance photo last week, and the calls started coming in.
Within hours they knew they were looking for 42-year-old Dwane Walker, a light skinned black man who is missing his right arm.
Walker is accused of robbing the Wachovia Bank on Mahan Drive last week and the Capital City Bank on the corner of Monroe and Tennessee last month.
Deputies got a tip walker was headed to Atlanta.
SGT Chris Chase with the Leon County Sheriff's Office said, "We notified the Georgia authorities and at the same time they received a report of a bank robbery in Atlanta. Friday afternoon they then began investigating and over the weekend were able to take him into custody."
Detectives say Walker will be brought back to face charges in Florida after he resolves the bank robbery charges in Georgia.
