A Tallahassee mechanic was killed on the job Tuesday, as a jack slipped and a vehcile came crashing down on top of him. The accident happened Tuesday morning at Johnson's Auto Body Shop on South Adams Street.

Forty-two-year-old Sidney Gibson was working beneath a camper, which was up on a hydraulic jack. According to the sheriff's department, the jack slipped off its blocks and the camper fell and crushed Gibson. His co-workers are teary eyed and stunned.

Co-workers say Gibson was alone in the shop when the accident happened. They discovered the mishap and called 9-1-1, but Gibson died of his injuries.
