The Educator Institute Preparation program, EPI, is offering college graduates with a bachelors degree the chance to get their professional teaching certificate in just two semesters.
The program gearing to find individuals with degrees in math, science and English, hoping to bring a range of educators into the classroom, and help with the teacher shortage.
"They are already teaching in the classroom so they really demonstrate that we are able to help meet the needs of the teacher shortage in Florida," said Dr. Peggy Russell, Director of EPI.
The program hopes to make it more accessible by offering night courses.
