The father of former Florida State University running back Travis Minor is dead after a collision in Louisiana.
State police say 45-year-old Leslie W. Minor was pronounced dead at the scene of Thursday's crash. Troopers say Minor's Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with an oncoming Toyota van just west of Baton Rouge. The van's driver fled the scene and hid in a nearby house.
He was later booked on vehicular homicide and sixth offense drunken driving charges. He also faces charges of failure to yield, no insurance and driving with a suspended license. Travis Minor is a third-year veteran Dolphins player out of Florida State. Minor was a vital part of the potent FSU offense in the late 1990's.
