A Live Oak teenager is taking matters into her own hands, helping kids in Northern Florida who struggle with ADD and ADHD.

And now she has big plans to expand her program to a national level.

15-year-old Danielle Herb says her horses saved her life.

Perhaps not in a conventional way we may think of, but with her battle against Attention Deficit Disorder.

Danielle now harnesses her energy and has started a program reaching out to other kids just like her.

"I've been here for about 6 months and I've learned that whatever you do, that you just set your mind to it," says participant, Quinton Robinson..

"It's amazing. When parents come up to me with tears in their eyes and they're thankful it just makes my heart sing. It's what I live for," says creator, Danielle Herb.

When Jacory Philmore started a year and a half ago, they say he wouldn't have been able to make eye contact, let alone hold a conversation.

Now, with his confidence growing, he's learning to face his fears and agreed to step in front of the lens.

"I used to have to be on medications to calm myself down because I used to get hyper a lot and it's quite a good thing," says participant, Jacory Philmore.

Horses naturally mirror what their handlers do. And to have a 1200 pound animal doing what they say, can be extremely empowering.

Danielle's program is not just gaining attention locally, but also on a national scale.

Just last weekend, Danielle was one of only 10 students selected from around the world to attend the Underground On-line Seminar in D.C., where she learned invaluable lessons from multi-millionaires.

She says right now she's focusing on learning how to take her small town thinking to a national level.

I had the opportunity to meet Daniel last weekend and can't say enough about her and her mom and sister. Truly Inspiring. And I hope someone will find her iPhone and return it to her.

Hurrah, this is excellent. I have no doubt that we can learn so much from Nature.
