Man Shoots Dog to Protect Daughter
A man in Coolidge, Georgia shoots a dog in his yard to protect his daughter. Thomas County investigators say he was well within his right to do it.

Kenneth Hale Jr. says his neighbor's Bull Mastiff ventured into his yard several times.
Last week, Hale's three year old daughter was playing in the yard and the dog charged toward her, so he got his gun and shot the dog.
Kenneth Hale says "I feel bad about it I didn't want to shoot the dog, I really didn't and I was hoping he would keep him over there, it was a beautiful dog, it's a bull Mastiff and that dog stands every bit of four feet tall on his back".
Thomas County investigators say Hale contacted them on more than one occasion about the dog.
The owner of the dog could not be reached for comment and authorities would not release his name.

Jack, go ahead and make your threats. If you had a dog you had negligently allowed to be a threat, then it's YOUR fault if it gets shot. If you had your dog under control, then you might have a leg to stand on. As it is, you might get surprised when you go gunning for the man that shot your dog, because he's obviously prepared to defend himself and family.
Jack, you're ths sort of idiot who gives dog owners a bad name. And if you did shoot someone over a dog, you'd be on the other side of the jail wall.
