Kenneth Hale Jr. says his neighbor's Bull Mastiff ventured into his yard several times.
Last week, Hale's three year old daughter was playing in the yard and the dog charged toward her, so he got his gun and shot the dog.
Kenneth Hale says "I feel bad about it I didn't want to shoot the dog, I really didn't and I was hoping he would keep him over there, it was a beautiful dog, it's a bull Mastiff and that dog stands every bit of four feet tall on his back".
Thomas County investigators say Hale contacted them on more than one occasion about the dog.
The owner of the dog could not be reached for comment and authorities would not release his name.

Wow. How stupid can some of you people be? The life of the child is more important than that of the dog. How about you pull your head above your waistline and take a breath of fresh air. If a dog charged my daughter, I would shoot in on purpose for sure. If it managed to reach my daughter.. I would rip it apart limb from limb with my bare hands if I didn't have a gun. Also, the father may have had the gun on hand because he was not an idiot. All it takes is common sense to watch the nature of an animal and try to predict its move. Use your head and get some common sense before you make the rest of the human race sound like completely incompetent morons. Okay, Thanks bye.
I love animals and have a dog, which I keep on a leash when outside the house. My dog is not vicious but sometimes people cause him to chase, bark or lunge at them. I think any dog owner should be reasonable enough to care for their pets, and keep them away from the public at large because many people are affraid of dogs, especially a Bull Mastif. That said, if a bull mastiff was charging at my daughter, I would want someone to stop it. If a bullet in the mastif is what it takes to save my daughter then, oh well!
that was brave uf bruh
