LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) A Lakeland eighth-grader has been
suspended from riding the school bus for three days after being
accused of passing gas.
The bus driver wrote on a misbehavior form that 15-year-old
Jonathan Locke Jr. was passing gas on the bus Monday to make the
other children laugh, creating a stench so bad that it was
difficult to breathe. The bus driver handed Locke the suspension
form the next day.
Polk County school officials say there's no rule against
flatulence, but there are rules against causing a disturbance on
the bus.
Locke says he wasn't the one passing gas.
Whether he did it or not, he might have gotten off easy. A
13-year-old student at a Stuart school was arrested in November
after authorities said he broke wind in class.

this isthe first time i have read thru reports like this. the story was sent o me as i have a 12 year old who delights in having contests with school mates (thankfully usually outside)on who can fart the longest, loudest, smelliest, etc. i can remember it happeing in school when i was that age, the gross stuff little boys do. its a sad thing when adults blame children when they can't preform their job and it's the childs fault they have problems in school or home or wherever they happen to be. what happened to adult respnsibility and leadership? the child will grow out of perposely tooting in public but will adults ever grow out of the pettiness, irresponsibility and shear stupidity they display, especially when they can do it without anyone knowing whothey are?
shut up miss maners, you cant even spell your name right. XD
Get real!!!! I would rather hear someone fart in public, than see them pick their nose.Look around when you are stoped at a redlight. Most of the time you will see someone with a finger up their nose three knuckles deep.
