The city of Lake Park has something new to offer to companies who are looking for small lots to locate their business. The latest addition is a 26-acre incubator site already equipped with its own service roads, water, sewer and drainage.
Monday, the Industrial Authority held a ribbon cutting and dedication for the new site that is projected to have major Economic impact for the county. Ben Futch, who owns Super Cooker, started off small with his company. He's now at the industrial park. He says having the option of developing on a smaller piece of land is a great way to start a business.
“This will be an opportunity for small businesses to get with their sites and hopefully they can expand their business and move to a bigger and better things,” says Ben.
The site can only be used for light manufacturing or small distribution centers due to the limited space. This is a $450,000 project, and the state gave over $200,000 to be used for water, sewer and road improvements. The county paid for the rest.
