Florida Governor Charlie Crist is catching heat over his political travel plans. Several state newspapers are requesting information about who pays when the governor flies for political business.

Crist says he pays for his personal travel, but he leaves travel arrangements for political business to the Republican Party of Florida.

“I literally write a check personally out of my personal account and if it’s a party function," Crist says, " I think some questions went to the chairman and he responded appropriately. I think if there is any question, it’s when you use the state to do personal or political and we have been extremely cautious not to do that in this administration."

Earlier this year Lieutenant Governor Jeff Kottkamp caught heat for using the state plane and pilots to fly his family around Florida. Kottkamp has reimbursed the state 10-thousand dollars for the mistake.
