The state elections board voted to appeal the judge's ruling throwing out the voter ID law.
However, the elections board doesn't want to expedite the appeal, which means the voter ID is not an issue, at least for this coming election.
"If you wanna show your ID, I mean, that at least gives them some sort of a picture there. It shouldn't have to be something like a driver's license, it should just be some sort of form of identification that you show, but at the same time I think a voter registration card should be enough," said Valdosta resident Andy Morris.
A state judge says proving identification with a voter ID card is an unconstitutional burden on a voter.
