The fire is inside one silo that holds dry shavings. It's been burning since Thursday at Balfour Lumber Company.
Employees say they smelled the smoke before realizing where it was coming from. Though the fire department attempted to put the fire out last week, it continues to burn.
Bryant Beadles, President at Balfour, said, "It started smoldering again, the smoke started coming out, we know there's a fire inside. It's a risk because the gases that can build up in there. We're trying to pull materials out of the bottom while pouring water on top."
Balfour produces 15,000 lumber pieces a day. Because of the fire the company had to shut down half of its operations for two days.
Balfour is still working at partial capacity.
