One Tallahassee city commissioner is pushing for a quick decision on Tallahassee's 20-year energy plan.
Nearly 100 people spoke during Wednesday night's public hearing on the issue, but commissioners did not set a date to make a final decision.
Commissioner Allan Katz says he wants to see that happen in the next few weeks.
"Community interest is high. I think a lot of people feel very strong about this and I think it's an opportunity for the commission to take all of this into consideration."
Energy options include moving forward with the Taylor Energy Center, building a coal gasification plant in Tallahassee, or sticking with natural gas.
All plans include Demand Side Management, or conservation and biomass energy.
