The Florida Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Michael Jones was traveling south on Hampton Springs Road when he ran off the highway striking several trees.
Jones was transported to Doctor's Memorial Hospital when physicians discovered he also had a gunshot wound.
An Autopsy performed Saturday night revealed Jones had died from a gunshot wound to the head.
