Collins Remembered at Florida Capitol

Claude Kirk, Bob Gaham, Wyne Mxson and Jeb Bush came together to honor Leroy Collins, a former segregationist who had a change of heart leading Florida into the age of integration in the late 50s.

Gov. Bush describes Collins as Florida’s greatest governor and the man who had the courage to lead the Sunshine State out of the deep south and into its own.

Collins died in 1991 at the age of 82.
