An Amber Alert was cancelled early Saturday morning for a four-year-old Pompona Beach girl who disappeared from the apartment where her mother was killed.
Medjie Jean Francois was missing for about 12 hours after the gruesome discovery of her mother’s body and a bound 12-year-old girl, until she was found safe before dawn in Miami-Dade County.
Investigators were still seeking the girl’s father, but would not say if he was a suspect in the slaying. The little girls disappearance sparked a statewide Amber Alert.
