Gadsden County officials approved a contract Tuesday allowing Tallahassee Memorial to run the urgent care facility at the hospital.
Crews are busy putting the finishing touches at the Gadsden County hospital before the opening of the urgent care facility.
County officials accepted applications for staff and are looking for a qualified doctor to run the center.
Officials expect to open up urgent care in the near very near future.
Marlon Brown said, "TMH has said it will take 30 to 120 days. My directions to them is lets do it before the 30 days.
The hospital closed its doors in November of last year after the Agency for Health Care cited them for several violations.
County officials say opening the urgent care facility is their first step in providing quality care to residents.
