Hundreds turned out to show their support for the University and its athletes. Not only was the community introduced to several of the teams, but also they got the chance to talk with the players one on one.
Coach’s say this kind of event helps create more fans for the local school. “Each year it gets a little better,” said VSU head football coach Chris Hatcher. “More and more people are starting to come to this and I know the guys like to see some support ant it’s a food chance for them to meet some young kids that hopefully will someday be Blazers.”
VSU’s president says this kind of event really helps the university gain a reputation as a place where students want to be.
