Swine Time Festival

This maybe Thanksgiving weekend, but folks in one area community weren't talking turkey.

Thousands turned out in Climax, Georgia for the annual Swine Time parade and festival. This event allows pig lovers from all over to rub snouts with their favorite piglets or maybe enjoy a plate of chitterlings. Event organizers say this festival has helped the town of Climax bring home the bacon since 1975.

"It's a lot of fun, the children really enjoy the pig chase, “ said Rita Dodson, Co-chair of the Swine Time festival.

“We have the best dressed pig contest, so we have a good time."

The swine time festival is always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
