A Tallahassee man will spend the next nine years in prison for a deadly drunk driving accident.
Twenty-three-year-old Jacob Deibler pled no contest to DUI manslaughter for an April crash that killed Mary Bailey out on Gearhart Road.
Bailey's daughter, LeAnne Staalenburg, forgave Deibler in court, saying she doesn't hate him, she doesn't think he's a monster, but said he certainly changed a lot of lives forever.
"We need to make sure that we get the word out that, you know, bad choices like drinking and driving are not a good option and can result in some pretty terrific consequences that you can't fix," Staalenburg said.
The court revoked Deibler's driver's license for the rest of his life. Before he was sent off to prison, Deibler sat down with Bailey's family for a very unusual face to face meeting.
