Valeka Bryant was convicted twice on child abuse charges
There was film footage of Bryant allegedly abusing children at "the color me kids day care center" and the footage was used in court in both cases.
The first ruling was thrown out on appeal in 2000. The second ruling is standing with the sentencing set for November.
On Thursday, Bryant's lawyer asked circuit court Judge Kathleen Deckker to be released on bond, that request was denied.
Judge Deckker said since she didn't hear the case, and didn't want to rule on the request for bond.
The judge who presided over the case is on an extended vacation.
