Hundreds of local residents stepped forward, raising money to help find a cure for Alzheimer's, a disease that touches so many lives.
The event offered free children activities, food, and arts and crafts at Tallahassee's Southwood Development.
"Forget Me Not", the theme of event, is something some families live by every day.
"We come every year. I've been bringing my parents for several years. We see the deterioration, but we also see the hope and the faith in our family and the people around us, we are blessed,” said Lumarie Polvika-West, who is touched by the disease.
Residents weren't the only one participating. Some special pups from the dog therapy program enjoyed the walk with their clients.
The event raked in about $16,000.
