The wives of FAMU’s football coaches are hoping to make a big statement this Saturday.
During this last home game of the season against Hampton University, the women will hold a stadium wide food drive.
The goal is to collect food for those in need, especially as we approach the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
"When you come out for the football game, when packing up signs, just grab some canned goods from home or stop by your local store," said Talia Thornton with the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Area middle and high schools have also collected canned goods this week as part of the drive.
