Riley Museum Partners with TCC

The house was built in 1890, owned by former slave John Riley. The walls are now decorated with memories of the past, but museum director Althemese Barnes says they're out of room.

Tallahassee Community College is responding, offering space in its library to house part of the collection.

Right now, coordinators are still sorting through memorabilia and documents, but soon African American history that had to be housed in warehouses will come alive and hopefully make an impact.

TCC and the Riley Museum will make a formal announcement about the partnership September 24.
