Construction crews are busy along Interstate ten in Tallahassee. Work started this week on a three-year widening project.
According to Department of Transportation Spokesman Tommie Speights, I-10 will be six-laned all the way through town from Capital Circle Northeast to just shy of the Leon-Gadsden County line.
Speights says right now, crews are clearing land for holding ponds and setting up sound buffers. Then work will begin on the new lanes.
