Man Shoots Neighbor in Face
A man is shot after agruing with a neighbor about trespassing.

A Madison County property owner is behind bars for shooting his neighbor in the face.

Thirty-three year-old Scott Sapp was arrested at 416 NE Withla Bluffs Way in Lee, Florida around 6:00 Sunday night.

The Madison County sheriff says Sapp shot his neighbor Cain Holcomb in the face at close range with a high-powered rifle.

Holcomb survived.

The sheriff says the men were arguing about Holcomb trespassing on Sapp's property to get to the Withlacoochie River.

Area resident Mario Burciga said, "That's why we have law enforcement. If you have anything against your neighbor or somebody, go and talk to them. You have no right to shoot anybody. Don't take the law in your hands."

Authorities say Holcomb is in critical condition at Shands Hospital.

Sapp is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.

This goes out to Cains Cousin! Mr. Sapp does have a protection agency and it is God himself. So Mr. Whomever you are! I would suggest that you go look into a mirror and find out if you are saved and found Jesus! This is what got the victim shot! Is The Threatening of ONE'S Life! Although, i know of the true reason of the shooting. Trespassing, just as it says and the owner was sick of being scared to go to his own Land! The Gun went off accidentally, no second guesses. So beleive what you all want as this is the truth. So Cousin, you should choose your words a little more wisely!! You are not messing with WEAK people! Ask Cain about his crack habit and abusive nature with his girl and others. That bull about helping Sapp with the truck and other storys is all bull. Cain knew he was not, ALLOWED, in Gods Country! Any questions asked? Will be answered Truthfully! All my Respect to both the families, as for Cain, his family does not know him like they think! Have a Blessed Day!

Before further incriminatating yourselves of defaming ones charactor on behalf of the VICTIM, you just may want to consider listening to the recorded 911 call made by Scott Sapp rather than speculating or making excuses for an irrational selfish act of attempted of murder.

well to be truthful cain was the resaon for the no trespassing signs on the fron tof the land.... he did not respect scott what so ever so when tresspassing, scott felt threatned enough to grab his gun to make cain leave, then it discharged, so i say to cain, wrong place at the wrong time.... life throws lemons, make some lemonade. by the way cain was witnessed by many people to pose a threat with violence to scott and family. specily when under the influence. so only cain, scott, and god will know the diffenece = so i say let god judge, nobody else, if it was intentional then god will regulate justice!!!! until then no one shall throw word stones.
