Two people made it safely out of a burning house Monday morning. One of them was in a wheelchair.
Tallahassee firefighters were called to the scene at about eight in the morning. Four units converged on 429 Francis Street and quickly put the fire out.
The two people in the home weren't injured, but one firefighter suffered burns to his foot while trying to get the blaze under control. He is expected to be okay.
At this time fire officials don't know what started the blaze. The cause is under investigation.
The house is believed to be a total loss.
