Tens of Thousands of Lights Going Up in Tallahassee

By  |

A 20-year Tallahassee tradition is about to light up. Tens of thousands of lights are going up in downtown Tallahassee's parks along Park Avenue in preparation for the annual Winter Festival and the "Celebration of Lights."

WCTV's very own Frank Ranicky will emcee the lighting ceremony that kicks off at 6 p.m. at Bloxham Park on North Monroe.

Get your tennis shoes ready because the Jingle Bell Run gets started 15 minutes later at the same spot, and then comes the Nighttime Holiday Parade set to roll down Monroe Street from Tennessee to Gaines at 7:15 p.m.

This year's theme is "The Winter Festival Celebrates 20 Years of Holiday Magic."
