Three armed robberies in less than 24 hours have businesses on Tallahassee's west side on guard.
It all started with a brutal hold up at the Super X-Mart on West Tennessee Street Thursday morning in which three masked men with rifles took over the store.
Another gunpoint robbery at the Saveway convenience store on Highway 20 followed Thursday night, and early Friday morning a lone gunman held up a clerk at the Zewditu Mart on West Tennessee Street.
"Currently we have no indication that would make us believe they are linked, however, we are looking at similarities in the cases to see if there is any connection between the three robberies," said LCSO SGT Chris Chase.
There is surveillance video of all three robberies. Deputies say the Super XMart holdup was particularly brutal as one of the robbers struck a female employee in the face with a gun.
