Streets of Tallahassee Shine

Tallahassee's Winter Festival kicked off Saturday night with much fanfare.

As the streets of downtown Tallahassee shined with thousands of lights, spectators gathered on the corner of Park and Monroe Streets, anxiously awaiting the annual Lighting Ceremony to begin.

The countdown sets the mood for the Winter Parade as Mayor John Marks flips the large switch to light up the night sky with more than 500,000 lights to begin an season of festivities.
