Space shuttle Discovery's seven astronauts arrived at the Kennedy Space Center today for a final stretch of training and preparations before they are launched on a 12 day mission to rewire the international space station.
Lift off is set for Thursday at 9:35pm. It will be the first night launch in four years. The countdown clock starts ticking tomorrow night.
Mark Polansky, Discovery's commander, and pilot William Oefelein will spend the next several days practicing landings in a shuttle training aircraft. Other crew members will study up on their mission tasks.
