Each year we share the stories of some of the families who will be helped by the Christmas Connection so you can see how vast and varied the needs are in the Big Bend.
Our featured family is a woman in Quincy caring for six children age seven months to 17 years. In addition to her own children, she took in four others when their mother was shot and killed. She wants to have toys under the tree: trucks, dolls, blocks and books.
She needs diapers for two toddlers in a size five.
Three teenagers would each love a CD player and grandma needs a new hat for church.
The family needs food, clothing and cleaning supplies. This is case 494.
If you can help, take donations to the Christmas Connection donation center now open at 1000 West Tharpe Street or call 222-2180 for more information.
A different family will be featured on Eyewitness News at 6 each day through December 15.
