Due to a water line break, the City of Tallahassee is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for customers south of Woodville.
Approximately 500 city water customers south of Woodville were without service Tuesday evening as crews repaired the broken line.
The notice is for customers south of Natural Wells Road along Woodville Highway, including some customers in Wakulla County.
Although water service was restored this morning, the city is asking to take precautionary steps before preparing food or using water for drinking purposes.
Homes north of Natural Wells Road and those served by the St. Marks water system were not affected.
To use water for cooking or drinking purposes, a rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient to render safe for use. Another advisory will be issued when the boil water noticed is canceled.
