You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch. The code name of the vandal who stole the City of Perry's Christmas. Christopher James is one of several victims of The Grinch. James assembled an 18-foot Christmas tree used December 3 for a lighting ceremony in Perry.
"I found the tree knocked over and I looked at the sky to try to see which way the wind was blowing. I noticed the tree had fallen a different way the wind was blowing, so I looked at the back. I walked around the back and there was a sign up that said The Grinch was here," described James.
The note was one of a series of notes The Grinch leaves behind. The Christmas thief has hit front yards for toy soldiers and ornaments. Perry Police have no leads but some of the stolen items have been found.
"In the real true story about The Grinch, The Grinch brings back the Christmas stuff. I'm hoping they are going to bring back the wreath and help me put this tree back up," added James.
