Shots were fired near Tallahassee's Lincoln High School as deputies say one student tried to shoot another.
Leon County sheriff's investigators are looking for the shooter who fired shots near the high school's campus. LCSO says there were a couple of verbal altercations between two groups of students just after the final bell at Lincoln High School.
Moments after the disturbances were broken up by the school resource officer, shots were fired in the rock brook neighborhood near campus.
The gunshots did not hit anyone, so there were no injuries.
LCSO spokesperson says they are conducting a thorough investigation and authorities hope to have some solid answers and an arrest very soon.
Investigators are not ruling out that this could be gang related, especially since there were words exchanged between two different groups of people just before the gunfire. They are checking all angles of this case.
