Folks in Valdosta celebrated the Fourth of July with a Tea Party of their own.

Posters, petitions, and patriotic people filled the sidewalks of Ashley Street in Valdosta, protesting against taxes and government spending.

Organizers estimate more than 300 supporters came out to let their voices be heard.

"We're being taxed to death and we're frustrated because it seems like nobody in government is listening to us," said Peter Supp, Tea Party Supporter. "They keep adding more and more taxes, doing more and more spending and we don't want them to and they're still doing it."

"It's the Fourth of July," said Lynn Williams, Tea Party Supporter.
"It's the day we declared our independence many years ago. I think that we need to continue to teach our country and our young people that we have rights and that's the beauty of our country. And I'm standing here to support my country and express my opinion."

Organizers say the tea party is not just a demonstration, but a movement to educate, organize and activate local citizens.

It is time for we as Americans to stand up for what we believe is right and just. We have to show Congress and President Obama that we are not going to stand back and watch our America crumble.

Don't be so vanilla. A man with a briefcase can steal more money than a man with a foodstamp card. Whose's hand is in your wallet?

Maybe next time Paramedic Tom Gniewick is on FoxNews.com he will cover the topic of how much time and gas is wasted by him...driving all over Tallahassee to buy donuts. Or maybe he could cover how to avoid being written 3 seperate times for harrassment by 3 different nurses.
