There are a number of other causes they support, and they are looking for some more help.
Staff members at the Tallahassee's Chapter say they are in desperate need of military volunteers.
Four thousand families in the Big Bend area have a loved one at war and communicating with that person isn't always easy.
That's where the Armed Forces Emergency Service volunteers come into play.
"We're the common link between the active duty service men and the families at home, we are the ones that verify unfortunately if there was a death in the family or if someone is gravely ill", said Chris Floyd, American Red Cross.
Now the chapter only has 5 volunteers and 15 are needed.
