The man killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday in Perry was a Valdosta State University football player.
Authorities say Broderick Blue, 22, a defensive lineman for VSU, died when he crashed his motorcycle into a car at Warner Avenue and Walnut Street in Perry.
Blue had transferred to VSU and played football last season.
Now, his teammates, coaches and friends are mourning his
death.
"He was a delight," said Earl Chambers, VSU's defensive line coach. "He was a good person. He cared about the players, he liked being around the players. Overall, he was just a good person. He was guaranteed to smile when he'd walk in the room."
"The best thing about Broderick was his carefree attitude and one word that would describe him was fearless," said James Hamilton, Blue's former teammate and friend. "He was a very fearless person."
Blue's funeral will be held Saturday at North Florida Community College in Madison.
Blue is survived by his two-year-old daughter.

Blue use to be a student here at the University of South Florida in Tampa. We are all mourning the lost of one of our closest friends. The same impact he left on VSU was exactly what he did for us here at USF. Blue was a lovable guy and I miss him so dearly. We are having a memorial for him tonight at our school to celebrate his memory and on going to a better place.
