Tallahassee Police Department and the Leon County Sheriff's Office set up a D.U.I. checkpoint and stopped cars along Highway 27. Officers and deputies checked for safety violations and impaired drivers.
"This is all part of our stepped up enforcement efforts during the holiday season with our message being don't drink and drive," said Sergeant David Frimmel of the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
Law enforcement said there will be beefed up patrols throughout the remainder of the holiday season.
