One year ago tonight, Tallahassee Police Officer Dale Green was gunned down while responding to a home invasion call.
Thursday, hundreds gathered to remember him, first Thursday morning at the police station, and again Thursday evening at Thomasville Road Baptist Church.
People packed the church to remember the father, the husband, and comrade.
Those who knew dale green, say their lives will never be the same now that he is gone, they also say their lives are better because they did know him.
Tallahassee Police have this to say to the community, "We have really just experienced an out pouring of support. It has made us appreciate our profession even more."
If you would like to pay tribute to Sergeant Green there's a fund set up in his name.
